Clubhouse Challenge Golf™ is an exciting, easy to play, and fast-paced golf dice game inspired by the traditional game of golf, reimagined for the tabletop. This authentic dice game rendition of the classic sport is meticulously crafted to mirror the real-life golfing experience.
The game allows up to four players, aged ten and up to experience the thrill of playing an 18-hole-round of golf in under ten minutes.
The goal? Simple. Just like the real deal, the lowest score wins. But here’s the twist – your fate lies in the roll of the die.
Let's dive into a turn to see the magic unfold, where the game box transforms into a vibrant golf playground of strategy and chance. Players first select from four iconic animals—Tiger, Bear, Shark, or Walrus—as their gaming avatar, each bringing its own flair to the game. They begin by each player rolling the yellow die, with the player rolling the lowest score going first. The first player casts the red, blue, and green dice, and the game's dynamic landscape comes to life. The playing surface is a minefield of excitement: a water hazard, if any die lands in this area, the player must re-roll that die; a lucky bounce spot, a die landing in this zone allows the player to adjust the score of one die by minus one; a sand trap, incurring a penalty stroke if the red or blue die lands within; and a mulligan zone that deducts a stroke when any die makes contact. The other players follow suit, and they continue navigating these thrilling obstacles as they roll their way through the round, taking turns rolling the dice and marking their scores until the 18th hole is completed. The players add up their scores for the round and mark their scorecards.
Final twist: Each player then rolls the yellow handicap die and reduces their score by the amount on the yellow die to determine the winner, adding an exciting final twist to crown the Clubhouse Champion. *For tiebreakers, each player rolls the red, blue, and green dice, adds up their score, and continue playing until lowest score wins.
Liars Dice
The objective is to complete an 18-hole (round) golf course with the lowest possible score, reflecting the sum of outcomes from rolling the custom dice. It introduces a par system (par 72 for the course) as a benchmark for scoring, diverging from the elimination focus of traditional Liar's Dice.
Players first choose among four iconic animals—Tiger, Bear, Shark, or Walrus—as their gaming avatar. The players begin the first hole, and each roll their dice secretly not letting the other players see their dice. The players all make claims about their score for the hole, incorporating strategic bluffing as needed about the outcome of their dice rolls. The gameplay involves honesty, deception, and challenge mechanics based on the potential of the players individual scores. Failed player challenges and claims affect the scores for the hole being played, with penalties applied as additional strokes to the score. This scoring penalty system aligns with golf's scoring rules, emphasizing strategic risk-taking and bluffing.
Players continue their exhilarating journey through the round, casting the dice and engaging in a lively dance of deception, bluffing, and storytelling. They tally the scores on their scorecard along the way each with eager anticipation of the next hole, navigating challenges with wit and daring, all culminating in a thrilling showdown at the 18th hole.
Clubhouse Challenge Golf™ Liar's Dice adds layers on top of the traditional Liar’s Dice strategy by incorporating golf elements, such as deciding when to take risks with aggressive claims (mirroring risky shots on a golf course) and managing one's score relative to par across multiple holes.
This structured progression mirrors a round of golf and introduces a defined endpoint based on completing the course, differing from the more open-ended rounds of traditional Liar's Dice.
